Shaking Up Your Routine
Yesterday was the first day in about a month that I didn’t write a blog post. Up to that point I’d had a fairly entrenched routine even if I did end up writing blog posts at different times of the day. I think after a while of doing the same things day after day we need to shake up your routine and either vary something or maybe it’s time to skip it altogether. It’s the same if you’ve got a workout routine every day – it’s good to change it up or it ends up becoming very mundane.
The result was today when I sat down to write a blog post I had no trouble coming up with an idea – a feeling I haven’t felt for at least a week.

I purposefully chose to drive to work using five different routes for the week. Driving to work can get very mundane and it’s important to challenge ourselves and to challenge our brains.
