See Star Wars 7
This morning I was at the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I have written a full review in my blog but I am trying to have a new page for every completed bucket list goal so here goes.
When I found out that there was going to be a new Star Wars film I added it to my bucket list. I’m not a major fan of Star Wars but I do like the movies and I definitely wanted to see the new one. I’d seen the last two prequels at the cinemas and there was no way I would want to miss this which reunited cast members from the original trilogy.
I was bit undecided if I was going to go to the midnight screening as I like to see movies where I can pick the seat and at midnight screenings there are usually limited options available. I think the other thing was that I had been unwell fighting off a virus for the few days before so I had to decide if I was going to be well enough before I went.
Of course the other thing is that midnight screening really messes with your body clock. It was by far and away the biggest premiere I’ve been to and probably the biggest movie that has been released in recent years. I remember going to see the first Avengers movie how bad the parking was that day but it really didn’t compare to Star Wars.
The movie is great but I think I enjoyed the first half more with the original Star Wars references and introduction of new characters plus I think I was really tired during the second half so that might of had something to do with it!
Glad that I’ve seen it and I may end up seeing it again at the cinemas as it would be nice to see with less people in the cinema. Plus I’m glad that I can check something else off my bucket list.
